Terms of Service

Draft — last edited September 2026

For Justin — read before publishing

This is a starting draft, not legal advice. Have it reviewed before treating it as binding, particularly the liability and enforcement sections.

By joining a BlackWire Gaming Discord server or playing on a BlackWire-run game server, you agree to these terms.

Eligibility

You must meet the minimum age and account requirements of Discord and of whichever game you're playing to use BlackWire's servers and community — we don't run a separate age-verification step of our own beyond what those platforms already require.

What BlackWire provides

BlackWire runs community servers for ARK: Survival Ascended, Palworld, and Once Human, hosted through Nitrado and NetEase, along with a Discord community for coordination and support. Servers are provided as a free community service — there's no purchase required to play.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

The full, current rule set lives in the Discord's #rules channel and the field manual — those govern day-to-day enforcement; this page covers the broader terms of using the service at all.

Moderation & enforcement

Staff may warn, mute, kick, or ban any player for violating these terms or the community rules, at their discretion, with or without prior notice for serious violations. Ban and mute appeals can be requested through Support.

No guarantee of service

Servers are run on a best-effort, volunteer basis. We don't guarantee uptime, save data integrity, or that any specific server, map, or game will continue to run indefinitely — an early callout on the homepage notwithstanding, games can be added or retired from the network over time.

Limitation of liability

BlackWire and its staff aren't liable for lost in-game progress, items, or data resulting from server issues, wipes, rollbacks, third-party hosting outages, or moderation action. You play on our servers at your own risk.

Third-party platforms

Your use of Discord, Steam, Nitrado, NetEase, or the underlying games themselves is governed by those platforms' own terms — BlackWire's terms only cover your use of our servers and community, not those platforms directly.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the network changes — new games, new hosting arrangements, or updated rules. Material changes will be announced in the Discord; continuing to play after a change means you accept the update.
